Stars Hammered by Wright, Drop Game 3 to Yankees
Already down in the Eliminator Round, the New York Yankees put on their best show, beating the Philadelphia Stars by a final score of 13-10 today. David Wright was special. He went 3 for 5 with a home run, a triple, and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 5. New York now trails Philadelphia 2-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

The Yankees took a 6-2 lead in the top of the second inning. Facing Philadelphia hurler Jim LaMarque with two outs, Wright hit a 3-run home run.

"Things broke our way today and that's great," Yankees manager Chris Patricola said. "It's important, though, to stay focused and not pat yourself on the back too much. We aren't done yet."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Connie Mack Stadium. Slated to start are Yu Darvish for New York and Jordan M Zimmermann for Philadelphia.
