| New York Win Eliminator Round | David Wright put the New York Yankees on his shoulders as they downed the Philadelphia Stars in the Eliminator Round.
New York won the deciding game by a 10-0 count at Yankee Stadium I and wrapped up the series 4-2.
Wright played a key role in the victory, as he was named series MVP for his offensive output, which included a .346 batting average with a .414 on-base percentage, 3 home runs, 13 RBI and 8 runs scored.
"I told myself it was time to step it up and help the team win and I'm glad I was able to do that," he said.
