| Philadelphia Pins 3-2 Loss on Black Aces | The Philadelphia Stars picked up a win at Aces Pavillion, knocking off the Houston Black Aces, 3-2. Starting pitcher Pete Alexander was an essential part of his team's success. Bill Sayles finished the game for Philadelphia and earned his 10th save. The win puts Philadelphia at 22-32.
The Stars got a big at-bat from right fielder Elmer Flick. For the game, Flick went 2 for 5 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the third, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 6th triple of the season gave Philadelphia a 2-0 lead.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Flick. "And not try to do too much."
