| Yankees Topple Pussies with Late Rally | The New York Yankees got a stellar performance from pitcher Bobby J Jones, who handcuffed the Tampon Bay offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Yankee Stadium I. The winner was New York reliever Andy Hassler, now 5-2. The loser was Frank Browning. The win boosted New York to 73-65.
In the bottom of the ninth, Bryce Harper knew he could end it with one good swing of the bat. And he did, hitting a 3-run home run off Tampon Bay pitcher Frank Browning.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Jones.
