| Ambassadors Dealt 8-4 Home Loss | The New York Yankees trumped the Pittsburgh Ambassadors, 8-4, at Allegheny Park. New York third baseman David Wright was terrific. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. New York has now won 4 in a row.
Bobby Veach, the slugging left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Veach contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put New York up, 3-1.
"It was a solid team effort," Wright said. "That's usually what it takes to win."
