Miguel Cabrera, who finished 2nd in the PBL in batting average with .351 in 1992, aided the Houston cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the first. For the game, the left fielder was 2 for 4 with a double.

Cabrera told a Houston Gazette reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
