Rangers Top Lake Monsters in Extras, 6-4
The Texas Rangers beat the Cleveland Lake Monsters, 6-4, at Cleveland Stadium. Sid Gordon was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The 27-year old third baseman was a menace to Cleveland all day. Texas reliever Steve Delabar picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Scott Williamson took the loss. Jose Acevedo, credited with the save, is now 3 for 3 in save opportunities.

Kevin Reimer was a prime factor in the win for the Rangers. In the top of the tenth with no one out, the top prospect hit a solo home run. He went 1 for 1 with a home run.

"I was hoping to make good contact," said Reimer. "I wasn't trying to knock the snot out of it."

Texas has 3 straight wins, Cleveland 4 straight losses.
