| Vancouver Dazed, Wegman Gets No-Hitter | There was magic on the mound today at Ballpark of Des Moines as Des Moines Sky Chiefs starter Bill Wegman no-hit the Vancouver Manatees.
Wegman held Vancouver hitters spellbound and helpless in a masterful display of pitching, leading the Sky Chiefs to a 4-0 win.
"It was like I was in a dream," Wegman said afterward. "The ball just went right where I wanted it to."
In his mound masterpiece, Wegman rang up 8 strikeouts and issued 1 walk.
