Trout K's 14 En Route to 1-0 Blue Claws Win
Virginia Beach left-hander Steve Trout was sensational in shutting out the Rancho Cucamonga Headhunters, 1-0. Al Hrabosky, credited with the save, is now 22 for 26 in save opportunities. The Blue Claws own a robust 81-37 mark.

Trout, who dominated for Virginia Beach, earned the victory to move to 17-4. He was in control the whole game, scattering 5 hits over 8.1 innings, while striking out 14. Rancho Cucamonga batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"It's no secret that good defense follows around people who throw strikes," said Virginia Beach manager Hector Salazar.
