| With 6-2 Win, Padres Improve to 23-23 | The San Diego Padres dumped the Houston Black Aces, 6-2, in large part due to first baseman George C Scott. On the day, Scott went 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Padres. John Halama earned the save for San Diego, his 1st of the year. San Diego now has a record of 23-23 with the win.
Scott was 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 against the Black Aces. In the top of the first inning, he hit a 2-run home run that put San Diego in front, 2-0.
