| Texas Tags San Diego with 5-2 Defeat | The Texas Rangers topped the San Diego Padres, 5-2, with left fielder Albert Pujols playing a big role. Pujols went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Rangers in the win. San Diego has now lost 10 consecutive games.
Pujols had a big hit for Texas with two out in the top of the third. With Texas leading 2-0, Pujols hit a 2-run double. It was his 20th double of the season and put the Rangers up, 4-0.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Pujols.
