The Houston Black Aces beat the Texas Rangers, 9-2, at Aces Pavillion. Lonnie Chisenhall, in particular, was impressive. He was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Howard Ehmke notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 4.1 innings. His record now sits at 1-1. With the win, Houston upped its record to 51-32.

Chisenhall had a big at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the bottom of the sixth inning, when he hit a run-scoring double. The Black Aces went on to win.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Chisenhall told the Houston Gazette.
