Freehan Slugs Black Aces to 7-4 Win
Bill Freehan made an impact in the 7-4 Houston win over San Diego. Freehan, who finished 3rd in the PBL in wins above replacement with 7.1 in 1994, was 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Houston pitcher Jack Fisher got the win. He's now 9-2. Bobby J Jones was tagged with the loss. The win for the Black Aces lifted their record to 74-40.

With Houston leading 4-3 in the top of the fourth, Freehan hit a changeup from Bobby J Jones for a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Black Aces ahead, 6-3.

"This is truly a great team to play with," Freehan said after the game. "We're like brothers, and when we come together to pull out the win, that just makes it all the better."
