| Black Aces Solve Padres, 4-2 | The Houston Black Aces topped the San Diego Padres, 4-2, in Phoenix Baseball League action at Aces Pavillion. The game was highlighted by the performance of Houston shortstop Ossie Bluege. Nick Strincevich earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 4 innings. His record is now 1-1. The Black Aces bumped their record to 70-47 with this win.
Bill Freehan drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate for Houston. In the bottom of the sixth, with the teams deadlocked, 2-2, Freehan delivered for the Black Aces. His run-scoring walk put Houston on top, 3-2.
