The Houston Black Aces beat the Texas Rangers, 15-7, at Arlington Stadium. The Black Aces got a fine performance from designated hitter Miguel Cabrera, who was 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. The slumping Rangers have dropped 8 in a row.

Houston took a 11-7 lead on Lonnie Chisenhall's 15th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Chisenhall hit in the top of the eighth, left Texas pitcher Bob Osborn visibly frustrated.

Cabrera told a Houston Gazette reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
