| Rangers End Bluege's Streak Thursday, September 16th, 1999 The Texas Rangers pitching staff did its job today, holding hot-hitting Ossie Bluege hitless in 4 at-bats during the club's 3-1 victory over the Houston Black Aces at Aces Pavillion. The disappointing performance ended a 20-game hitting streak for the third baseman.
"I'm a little down right now," Bluege said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too."
Currently Bluege is batting .311 with 7 home runs and 45 RBIs. | | |
