 | PBL Selects Rookie Star of the Month Friday, October 1st, 1999 Youngster Albert Pujols emerged as the latest Phoenix Baseball League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Texas deserved the honor, batting .329 with 7 home runs and 13 runs batted in. Is the month of September a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Pujols enjoy the limelight. This season Pujols is hitting .313 with 190 hits, 25 home runs, 104 RBIs, scored 105 runs and played in 157 games. |   |
