 | Red Sox Castilla Suffers Setback Saturday, October 22nd, 1977 Vinny Castilla's return to the Boston Red Sox has been delayed. The 31-year-old second baseman has been in treatment for a knee sprain and was responding well until he suffered sharp pains during a light workout. Upon examination by team doctors they reported that there had been further damage and Castilla will not be back as originally diagnosed. He will now be out at least 4 weeks. In 1977 Castilla has hit at a .281 clip with 170 hits, 10 home runs, 79 RBIs and has scored 71 times. |   |
