Raburn's Season Could be Over
Wednesday, August 18th, 1982
The season is finished for Ryan Raburn of the Fontana River Sharks. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The River Sharks second baseman suffered a torn posterior cruciate ligament while running the bases in a recent game against the Montgomery Giants. Team doctors said it would take at least 10 months to heal.

This season Raburn is swinging the bat at a .139 rate with 51 hits in 366 at-bats. To date he has hit 2 home runs, scored 36 runs and driven in 37.
