 | Postseason Bid Ends for Rancho Cucamonga Thursday, July 29th, 1999 It won't be a season to remember for the Rancho Cucamonga Headhunters, as the club has officially missed out on the playoffs. The Headhunters were mathematically eliminated from qualification today. "With any luck, in a couple years we will look back on the 1999 season as an important stepping stone to a title," said Rancho Cucamonga reliever Chris R Young. This is the club's 12th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 1987. In total, the Headhunters have missed the playoffs 17 times in their 19-year history. |   |
