 | Manatees Celebrate Wild Card Win Sunday, August 8th, 1999 For a team that has never won a Baddest Boyz Championship, how you get to the postseason isn't the important part. The important part is simply that you get there and thus, the Vancouver Manatees excitedly celebrated their Bad Boyz League wild card berth tonight. "There's only one thing that everyone on this team wants and that's to be champions. We want to bring a title home to Vancouver and this is the first step," said third baseman Chris Donnels. "Of course we would have loved to win the division, but we look forward to the challenge ahead." It will be the 1st Bad Boyz League championship in franchise history for the team if they can pull it off. "That's the ultimate goal," added the third baseman. |   |
