 | Vancouver Southpaw Tosses 1-0 Shutout Wednesday, July 30th, 1997 Horacio Ramirez of the Vancouver Manatees humiliated the Charleston Riverdogs at Citadelles Ballpark today, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 3 hits. "He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said Charleston manager Manny Acta, after the game. Ramirez whiffed 5 and walked 1 in the 1-0 win. "If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Ramirez said. "I was making good pitches the entire game." In 21 starts this year Ramirez has posted 10 wins while suffering 8 losses.
