The 29-year-old out of San Felipe, Venezuela captured the award with 20 saves in 47 relief appearances, 63 strikeouts in 56.1 innings and a record of 3 wins and 5 losses to go with his 2.08 ERA. "I'm thankful, it's a great honor," he told Baseball News Network. He received 6 first place votes out of a possible 10.
