 | Aces Mathematically Out of Playoffs Wednesday, July 20th, 1977 The Reno Aces were certainly not a team of destiny this year and now they have been eliminated from playoff contention. "We thought we had a better chance than this," said reliever Bob Turley. "It's a big disappointment." Reno last appeared in the postseason in 1974. This is their 3rd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 10 times in their 17-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Aces have missed the playoffs 4 times. Reno has won the Round 2 2 times in their history. |   |
