| Pilgrims Advance to PBL World Series | The Boston Pilgrims "proved we can handle pressure" by beating the Challenger Round and eliminating the Houston Black Aces, according to series MVP Del Gainer.
"This is the big stage, we're off to the PBL World Series and looking towards the PBL World Series," he said. "There's a lot of pressure at this time of year and it's only going to get more intense from here. But I think we can handle it just fine."
Boston won the final game 4-2, to wrap up the series 4-1.
Gainer led his team to the series win by putting up a .350 average, with a .435 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 10 RBI and scored 4 runs.
