Round 1 Game 1 Victory for Forsch and Franklinton
The Round 1 got off to a quiet start today, with the host Franklinton Typhoon taking a low-scoring 1-0 win over the Anaheim Sailfish. Franklinton right-hander Ken Forsch was marvelous at Ballpark of Franklinton and was named player of the game. The Typhoon now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series.

Forsch, a native of Sacramento, California, was dealing all game. He kept Anaheim hitters off-balance, while giving the Typhoon 9 quality innings. Forsch threw 113 pitches, allowing 5 hits and striking out 7.

"I really like what we did out there today," Forsch said after the game.

Game 2 is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Franklinton in Franklinton. Slated to start are Steve Renko for the Anaheim Sailfish and Gaylord Perry for the the Franklinton Typhoon.
