| Multi-HR Day for Fernandez as Rangers Overpower Pilgrims, 4-2 | Texas catcher Frank Fernandez had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Boston Pilgrims, 4-2. Roy Witherup sewed up the save, his 12th. Texas now has a record of 28-15 with the win.
An important at-bat for Texas came with one out in the top of the fifth. With a runner on 1st, Fernandez hit a 2-run home run, which contributed to the Rangers win.
Fernandez told a Texas Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
