The Houston Black Aces defeated the Boston Pilgrims, 7-3, at Aces Pavillion. Michael Brantley was a standout performer for Houston. His 3 hits included 2 singles and 1 double, in addition to the 1 run he scored and 2 he knocked in. The loss makes Boston 2-1.

Houston grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the sixth, when Brantley, who finished 3rd in the PBL in slugging percentage with .630 in 1994, hit a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season put the Black Aces out in front, 3-1.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Brantley told a Houston Gazette reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
