Cubs Net 3-1 Win Over Rangers | The Seattle Cubs got a stellar performance from pitcher Dan Haren, who handcuffed the Texas offense en route to a win, 3-1, at Arlington Stadium. Haren, now 4-4, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 4, walking 4, and allowing 1 run. Tim Crabtree was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 11 of 13 save opportunities.
Jackie Jensen, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Jensen contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth inning to put Seattle up, 2-1.
