| Rangers Drop Another One, 8-4 | The Seattle Cubs beat the Texas Rangers, 8-4, at Arlington Stadium. Seattle shortstop Charlie Hollocher had an outstanding performance. He was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Curry Foley, 1-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 1.1 innings. Dick Robertson converted his 1st save in 4 tries.
Seattle used the timely hitting of Josh Naylor to capture the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cubs on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Hollocher. "And not try to do too much."
The 5th-place Rangers have lost 4 consecutive games.
