| Rangers Rally For Late Win Over Yankees | Texas Rangers starter Felix Hernandez pitched effectively against the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium I. The right-hander spearheaded his team's 2-1 win. Roy Witherup notched his 20th save in 20 chances. Texas, now 44-54, holds down 7th place in the PBL.
J T Snow, who is a four-time Calgon Soft Hands Award winner, aided the Texas cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 2 with a double and 2 walks.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Snow.
