Despite a great performance by Houston right fielder Kirby Puckett, the Seattle Cubs defeated the Black Aces by the score of 5-4 at Wrigley Field. Puckett was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. After today's action, Seattle sits at 42-56, while Houston falls to 58-40.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Seattle trailing 4-3, Joe Stripp hit a fastball from Sean Doolittle for a 2-run home run, giving the Cubs the walk-off win.

"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Stripp said.
