| Ambassadors Lose to Black Aces, 6-5 | The Houston Black Aces picked up a win at Aces Pavillion, knocking off the Pittsburgh Ambassadors, 6-5. Starting pitcher Kevin Appier played a key role in the triumph. Sean Doolittle, credited with the save, is now 21 for 25 in save opportunities. With the win, Houston pushed its record to 59-40.
Eric Karros had a productive at-bat for the Black Aces with one out in the bottom of the sixth. With the bases loaded, the first baseman hit a sacrifice fly. The at-bat was important in the Houston win.
"We found a way to get it done," Karros said.
