Ambassadors Lose, 6-4, at Aces Pavillion | The Houston Black Aces trumped the Pittsburgh Ambassadors, 6-4, at Aces Pavillion. Houston second baseman Tony Lazzeri was terrific. He went 3 for 4 with a triple and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Sean Doolittle was credited with the save, his 22nd in 26 tries. The win for the Black Aces raised their record to 60-40.
Miguel Cabrera, who finished 5th in the PBL in runs with 127 in 1992, helped out the Houston cause in the bottom of the third inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 4 with a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.
