| 8-2 Loss to Rangers Extends Seattle Losing Streak | The Texas Rangers got a strong performance from pitcher Felix Hernandez, who stymied the Seattle offense en route to a win, 8-2, at Wrigley Field. This loss makes it 7 in a row for Seattle.
Frank Fernandez's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With one out, he rapped a fastball from Dick Robertson for a run-scoring single. It put Texas in front, 3-2.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Seattle manager Gary Lent. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
