| Yankees Hand Rangers 7-6 Loss | The New York Yankees overcame a fine performance by Texas center fielder Marvell Wynne to defeat the Rangers, 7-6, at Arlington Stadium. Wynne was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Yankees bumped their record to 70-63 with this latest triumph.
A crucial at-bat came with the bases loaded and one out in the top of the sixth inning. That's when first baseman Tony Clark, who finished 5th in the PBL in home runs with 28 in 1993, hit a 2-run double. The Yankees went on to win.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said New York manager Chris Patricola.
