| Jensen, Cubs Too Much for Rangers | The Seattle Cubs trumped the Texas Rangers, 4-2, at Arlington Stadium. Seattle right fielder Jackie Jensen was terrific. He was 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Tim Crabtree was credited with the save, his 15th in 18 tries. Seattle goes to 60-83, Texas to 63-80.
With Seattle leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Jensen hit a fastball from Felix Hernandez for a 3-run home run. It was his 17th home run of the season and put the Cubs ahead, 4-0.
Jensen called the win "a team effort."
