So at age 41, the first baseman has announced that he will call it a career at year's end.
"There's always someone younger coming up behind you and in my case there aren't really any people older, so it's time to get out," he said.
Over his 1701-game career Wallach has compiled a .263 batting average and collected 1701 hits, 196 home runs and 910 RBIs. | | |
