 | Cleveland Loses Dave Stegman, Will Miss Season Saturday, September 18th, 1999 Dave Stegman of the Lake Monsters just might have to call it quits for the season. The 24-year-old Cleveland center fielder received a possible season-ending injury against the Pittsburgh Ambassadors recently at Cleveland Stadium. Stegman suffered a torn posterior cruciate ligament while running the bases. The Lake Monsters medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 9 months. For the year Stegman is hitting .214 with 3 home runs. His stats include 13 RBI and 13 runs scored. |   |
