 | AJE West Jerry Pitcher of the Year Award Winner Announced Wednesday, November 16th, 1977 Giants ace Eddie Cicotte is the latest Patricola Division Jerry Pitcher of the Year Award trophy winner. The San Francisco star shined on the diamond time and again this year and finished with an outstanding 21-7 record. In 32 starts he tossed 243 innings, posted 198 strikeouts and sported a 1.96 ERA. Opposing batters hit .215 when Cicotte was pitching. He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Ed Reulbach of the San Francisco Giants finished second in voting, while Reb Russell of the San Francisco Giants finished third.
