 | Perconte, Williams Suspended for Fracas Saturday, July 28th, 1984 Jack Perconte of Franklinton and Albert Williams of Staten Island were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Perconte will have to miss 5 games for his part in the brawl, while Williams was given 6 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. This year Perconte is batting .345 with no home runs. To this point in the season Williams has no saves in 1 relief appearance with a 0-3 record and 6.52 ERA. |   |
