Ambassadors Upend Yankees, 9-4 | The Pittsburgh Ambassadors stopped the New York Yankees, 9-4, at Yankee Stadium I. The Ambassadors got a big game from Woodie Held, who went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. The win puts Pittsburgh at 13-18.
There were several reasons the Ambassadors beat the Yankees, but one factor was Ben Revere. In the top of the fourth, the Pittsburgh right fielder came to bat and hit a 2-run single. It staked his team to a 3-1 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Held said after the game. | | | | |
