The Texas Rangers topped the Montreal Chiwawas by the score of 6-3 and moved into a 2-2 tie in the Round 4 today. The largest share of the credit belongs to Texas starter Jeff C D'Amico, who threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball in the win.

It could have been a different outcome for Texas, had it not been for Glenn Hubbard, the 31-year old second baseman . Hubbard contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Texas up, 2-1.

"We'll savor this win," Hubbard told the Texas Gazette, "then get ready for the next game."

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Stade Olympique in Montreal. The scheduled starters for the game are John Denny for the Texas Rangers and Nolan Ryan for the the Montreal Chiwawas.
