Chiwawas Even With Rangers After Extra-Innings Win
The Montreal Chiwawas and the Texas Rangers will take the Round 4 to a decisive 7th game. Facing a must-win situation at Arlington Stadium today, the Chiwawas beat the Rangers 4-2 in extra innings to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Montreal left-hander John Tudor had a standout performance. He threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball.

Tim Wallach, the slick-fielding third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Wallach contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Montreal up, 3-2.

"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Texas manager Joe Johnson.

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow. The scheduled starters for the game are Bruce Hurst for the Montreal Chiwawas and Pascual Perez for the the Texas Rangers.
