| Brantley Lit, Black Aces Win, 9-1 | A 3-RBI performance from Michael Brantley, who finished 3rd in the PBL in slugging percentage with .630 in 1994, helped the Houston Black Aces beat the New York Yankees, 9-1. Chuck Cary was credited with the save for Houston, his 1st of the season. The win for the Black Aces raised their record to 20-16.
One of the stars of the game was Houston right fielder Willie Keeler. In the bottom of the sixth with one out, he got a changeup from Matt Moore and hit a bases-clearing triple. That made the score 5-1 in favor of the Black Aces.
"We looked pretty good up and down," said Houston manager Jimi Patricola.
