| Boston Southpaw Tosses 3-0 Shutout | Al Orth of the Boston Pilgrims humiliated the Houston Black Aces at Fenway Park II today, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 5 hits.
"He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said Houston manager Jimi Patricola, after the game.
Orth whiffed 4 and walked 1 in the 3-0 win.
"If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Orth said. "I was making good pitches the entire game."
To date this season Orth sports a 5-0 mark with a 2.41 ERA in 7 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .245 batting average and has 27 strikeouts in 41 innings. | | |  | |
