| Pilgrims Dealt 9-2 Home Loss | The Houston Black Aces powered past the Boston Pilgrims, 9-2, at Fenway Park II. Lonnie Chisenhall went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs, to lead the charge. Arlie Pond picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-1. He struck out 3 in 5 innings. The Black Aces bumped their record to 24-18 with this win.
In the top of the sixth, Bill Freehan had a big 2-run home run off Scott Kazmir. With the home run, the Houston catcher put his team in front, 4-2. He went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once in the contest.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Freehan said.
