Cubs Lose to Ambassadors in Walk Off | The Seattle Cubs and Pittsburgh Ambassadors left the fans buzzing.
The Seattle Cubs got a sterling performance from pitcher Dan Haren, but the Pittsburgh Ambassadors still prevailed, 3-2. Haren threw 5 innings of 4-hit ball. The Ambassadors, now 19-27, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.
The Ambassadors relied on designated hitter Don Lock for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 11th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"Our team showed some gumption," said Lock. "I like it." | | | | |
