| Hamilton goes 4-for-5 as Pilgrims Squeeze Past Pittsburgh | The Boston Pilgrims topped the Pittsburgh Ambassadors by a score of 9-8. Leading the way was left fielder Josh Hamilton. Hamilton was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Pilgrims. Van Mungo, credited with the win, is now 3-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit. The win boosted Boston to 29-22.
The Pilgrims scored in the bottom of the eighth when Del Gainer hit a 2-run triple to make the score 9-8, Boston.
