| Yankees Win Again, 16-7, Extend Streak to 6 | The New York Yankees beat the Pittsburgh Ambassadors, 16-7, at Allegheny Park. New York center fielder Wally Berger had an outstanding performance. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The Ambassadors, at 31-38, have lost 5 straight games.
Tony Clark dealt the Ambassadors a blow in the top of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and New York leading 3-2, Clark, who finished 5th in the PBL in home runs with 28 in 1993, hit a 2-2 fastball for a bases-clearing double.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Clark.
